Hello friends,
This week has been quiet. Not full of the energy and optimism of last week, but not a week of despair either. I think I’m about to start my period, so I’m not surprised I’m a little subdued. Even so, for the first time, I published the two articles and one poem I set for myself as a weekly goal. I didn’t get them posted on the days I’d planned on, but I did get it done. I didn’t realize that until I sat down to write this newsletter. I’m even more proud that I did it during a week when I felt kind of blah.
Another exciting thing is that I’m trying out a new strain of medical marijuana. I finished the last one, and while it helped with my stress and anxiety, it didn’t do much for my muscle spasticity. This new one has a bit more THC, so hopefully, it’ll give me a bit more pain relief. Does anyone out there use medical marijuana for pain? What ratio of CBD to THC do you use? Hit reply. Let me know.
I also have some poetry updates. Initially, I was posting my poems to my Becoming publication on Medium, but I made a whole new publication just for my poetry. I think things are a bit neater this way. I called it Squid Ink. I also started posting my poetry on Instagram. I’ll post some longer poems I’ve shared elsewhere, but I like the challenge of writing shorter poems specifically for IG.
I don’t have much else to report. This is actually the third time I’ve typed that, but I kept remembering things I wanted to share. I guess it wasn’t as quiet a week as I thought.
See you next week,
Yardena
