Thirty-One: Week Thirty-Two
Days two hundred and eighteen through two hundred and twenty-four
Welcome back to Thirty-One, the project where I attempt to write something every day for a year. If you missed any previous issues, you can find them here.
Day Two Hundred and Eighteen (November 30th) All the magic happens in the connections between things. Focus on the negative space. What hidden shapes appear? Day Two Hundred and Nineteen (December 1st) I want to stop wanting so much. Day Two Hundred and Twenty (December 2nd) Waiting for inspiration is no more fruitful than waiting for Godot. If you want something, you have to make yourself worthy. Day Two Hundred and Twenty-One (December 3rd) Pale hands in the dark reflect the moonlight as if the moon were a sun and the hands were new worlds Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Two (December 4th) Don’t forget to laugh. Banish all the bullshit with revelry and mirth. Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Three (December 5th) Listening to the white noise of a place is like hearing the ocean in a seashell. Everything is tied to everything else. Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Four (December 6th) Wash the algae from the walls. Scrub them clean until you find your friends again. Flush the filth and play in the falling rain.
I’m offering this project for free, but if you’d like to support me (and get access to our poetry club), consider subscribing. That would be cool.
