Hello friends, I don't know if I've mentioned this in a newsletter before, but I like to make challah on Shabbat. I don't manage it every week, but most Friday evenings, my kitchen fills with the smell of fresh-baked bread. Challah is one thing my grandma never made from scratch, so I had to learn on my own. After months of tinkering with ingredients, I finally came up with a delicious recipe. It's not as eggy as some other challot, and it's sweetened with a generous amount of honey. This Shabbat, though, I decided to try out a new recipe. It did not end well.
