It’s one of the things that makes this disease feel so strange and difficult to grasp sometimes. Even when talking with others with MS, things can be so different.
This is so beautifully written. Thank you for sharing your experiences with your diagnosis <3. As a current med student I’ve also noticed that the whole “positive” test telling you you’re sick seems to be slowly on its way out, not only bc it can be kinda confusing but I suspect a part could also be from this slight dissonance it creates in all of us when we hear it. I’m glad your journey through meeting so many doctors landed with a neurologist that’s been making you feel safe through this complex journey.
It's a constant up-and-down journey that never seems to sit still for long. Sometimes I feel almost normal. Sometimes I feel like the world is ending. But I'm still here, still trying.
Thanks for sharing your story. Our MS stories are all different, then converge at a point, and then diverge again. It's very interesting.
