What a moment of serendipity - I noticed that you linked to a Finnish fairy tale book! Will have to explore it, as I'm Finnish (actually Finnish-Swedish). I grew up near a town where one of the famous Finnish authors, Zacharias Topelius, lived. He wrote many wonderful children's stories.
Also, about time itself. I am currently completely mesmerized by Carlo Rovelli's 'The Order of Time.'
Your reflection: "We treat time as linear because that’s how we perceive it. But what if every choice we make is happening at the same time? From another perspective, we never stop waving sparklers in the backyard." -- made me draw parallels to Rovelli's explanations of how time doesn't really exist. It's a bit of a mind-bender to say the least.

A post after my own heart, thoughtful and with music.
This is surely one of your most brilliant posts. It’s insights are striking, haunting and incredibly human in a beautiful, vulnerable way.
Beautiful writing
