Insane how our best work can kind of just flow out if we give ourselves the space. I genuinely love the pieces so far! “I got high and wrote that. I don’t know what it means, but I like the sound of it” is an ideal writing process/outcome, IMO.
Lol after that first one I was like this is going to be an interesting year. There have been a few days where I’ve forgotten until I’m in bed and I’m like oh shit I have to get something down quick.
I love your day 6. 🍺🫖
I forgot what I wrote, so I read it back. I loved it too lol.
Good luck on your writing journey overthe next year!
Fine writer and reader of Substack—we are starting a movement to get a poetry section added to the platform. Can I ask, are you with us?

Keep on keeping on!
Thank you!
Way to go! This is ambitious and so fascinating to follow along with your writing journey.
This is my favorite section from this week: “I wonder where all the forgotten things go.” It reminds me of Wislawa Szymborska.
Thank you! I actually love that line too. When I wrote it I was like ohhh yes this one’s good lol.
Hehe I know exactly what you mean! There are lines that you know are good. And you know it and look at them again and again! 🤣🙌🙌
I think there is value in a quantity goal, especially if you reflect a bit on each piece about what worked on what didn't. More power to you!
Exactly. It’s often a challenge for me to write without editing as I go, so I like that this is forcing me to do that.
